Community Guidelines

Socialify is built to leave you better off every time you close it. These rules keep it the kindest corner of the internet.

🙋Be real

  • One person, one account. You must be 18 or older.
  • Don’t pretend to be another person, a brand or an organisation.
  • No fake accounts and no bots faking likes, comments, follows or messages.

💛Be kind

  • No harassment, bullying, threats or calls for violence.
  • No hate against anyone for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar.
  • Don’t share someone’s phone number, address, ID numbers (such as Aadhaar or PAN), private photos or messages without their permission.
  • Disagreeing is fine. Abuse is not.

🛡️Keep it safe: zero tolerance

These get the content removed and the account closed straight away, and we report them to the authorities where the law requires it:

  • Any sexual content involving children, or any attempt to contact children for sexual purposes. Socialify is adults-only; see Child safety.
  • Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent.
  • Terrorism, human trafficking, and selling drugs or weapons.
  • Encouraging suicide, self-harm, eating disorders or dangerous challenges. If you’re struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline.

📸What you share

  • Post only what you have the right to share: no films, songs, books or other people’s photos without permission.
  • No sexually explicit content.
  • No spam, scams, fake giveaways, or “pay to get a job” offers.
  • Don’t share information you know is false and could cause harm.

🎥Video calls, Live and Study rooms

  • Everyone in a room can see and hear you; the app reminds you before you join.
  • Don’t record, screenshot or share other people without their consent. Secretly recording someone gets your account closed.
  • Study rooms are for focus: no harassment and no sharing inappropriate screens.

✨Using AI

  • AI suggests; you decide. You are responsible for what you post, even if AI helped write or translate it.
  • Don’t pass AI-made text, images, voices or video off as real, or as written by a person, when that could mislead.
  • Never use AI to imitate a real person’s face or voice without their permission.
  • Content written by Socialify AI always carries the label “✨ Written with Socialify AI”.

🚩See something wrong? Report it

Every post, comment, message, profile, group, Page, event and room has a Report option. Reports are anonymous: the person you report is never told who reported them.

We review reports within 72 hours, and within 24 hours for child safety, intimate images, nudity, self-harm and terrorism. Depending on what we find, we remove the content, limit features, or suspend or close the account.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (India: 112, US: 911).
